NATIONAL HISTORICAL AND ARCHITECTURAL MUSEUM KYIV FORTRESS offers schools cultural and educational programs for children:
1. "THE RIGHT CAMOMILE"
The program introduces children to the rules of conduct in museums and exhibition halls. It is held in the form of a game with the obligatory staging of a "work situation".
2. "WHAT IS FORTIFICATION?"
The cultural and educational program deepens the worldview and introduces new words and concepts. Children, looking at the crossword puzzle, remove the word "fortification" in the exhibition halls.
3. "WHAT IS BEHIND THE SHAFT?"
In the program, children must navigate clockwise and solve puzzles at these stops. After completing these tasks, they answer the question behind the shaft. The program teaches children to act independently in the field, helps to acquire teamwork skills.
4. "COSSACK CHRISTMAS"
During the New Year and Christmas holidays, the museum offers a cultural and educational program that will help to better understand the history of its people. During the program, quizzes, competitions, carols and Christmas carols are held.
FOR MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS
1. INTERACTIVE GAME "KEY FORTRESS"
The quest "Key to the Fortress" is held on the territory of the museum. Children follow a certain route specified in the DIARIES. During the game, performing tasks, they find the KEY OF THE FORTRESS. The program ends with a group photo.
2. INTERACTIVE GAME "FIND A SONG"
The game is held on the territory of the museum. The aim of the game is to teach children orienteering. During the quest, children follow the specified route, find envelopes with puzzles on which verses of the song are written. Each team collects five envelopes with puzzles. The game ends in the Fireplace Hall, where a picture of puzzles is collected and the full text of the song is composed. The song is performed by the choir.
3. WALL GAME "AND, LET'S SHOW THAT WE ARE BROTHERS OF THE COSSACK FAMILY"
The game is held after a sightseeing tour of the museum. Purpose: to test and consolidate knowledge of the history of the Cossacks. The playing field is divided into three circles: the theme of the first round - the military ranks of the Cossacks, the second round - history, the third round - the Cossacks in music and literature. The game is based on the element of competition between two groups of "Cossacks".
TO CHILDREN WHO WANT TO BE INDEPENDENT IN ACQUAINTANCE WITH THE MUSEUM!
To you, young friend, the museum offers to buy "ROUTE LETTER"! With the help of this "Route List", you and your parents will walk through the museum. Crosswords, puzzles, questions are waiting for you! You will find the answers in the exhibition if you look carefully at everything! "Route list" is developed for children of 9-12 years on the exposition "History of national fortification" and "Game guide" for children 12+ on the exposition "Oblique capon" This way of getting acquainted with the museum promotes the development of children's concentration, patience, healthy curiosity !!!
Education is one of the main directions of the Museum's work and one of its most important tasks. That is why special attention is paid to various activities for children when developing the work plan of the Museum. The Kyiv Fortress hosts exhibitions of children's drawings, New Year's "Christmas trees" for children from orphanages from different parts of Ukraine, for children whose parents are participants in hostilities, etc. Children together with their parents can watch theatrical performances for children. Museum staff have developed a variety of interesting museum quests for children.

Lessons of courage are systematically held on the basis of the Museum in order to form a national-patriotic consciousness and military-patriotic education of youth.
